With so many patisseries and boulangeries to choose from it’s hard to know where to go. While several well rated places have proven disappointing La Vieille proved to be an outstanding choice. My orange tarte and our quiches, both, were excellent as was the kind and patient (with my limited French) service we received. Even the “packaging” was a treat.

I have been to the Vieille France the day it opened some 32 years ago when I barged into the shop saying they were borrowing a famous pastry shop name on the Rue de Buci and the owner was gratified I had known her fatherin law's shop when I was a student and bought the best "tarte au ciron " available in Paris inthe seventies!
I have just had a tarte aux fraises which was one of the best I have ever eaten and I must confess I usually only eat fig in september but none were left at 5;30 so I relented .Just go there in the early afternoon and buy cakes before a stroll in the Buttes ChaumontVisited in September 2022
Best French pastry ever! I tried a lot of places in Paris as any food lover would do. This place is amazing, I tried pretty much everything. Tartelette are generous, éclairs and chocolate cake are delightful not too sugary. A real French handcraft, homemade expertise.

Une vraie pépite ! Les pâtisseries sont aussi belles que délicieuses, avec des saveurs raffinées et des ingrédients de qualité. Mention spéciale pour le mille-feuille et les éclairs, un vrai régal. Le personnel est souriant et accueillant, et la boutique est charmante. Un incontournable pour les gourmands, je reviendrai sans hésiter !

Une institution du XIXe arrondissement ! Fabrication artisanale, saveurs authentiques, production à taille humaine, la proposition varie d’une semaine à l’autre car tout est fait à la main. La Colombière (Pâques), la Salembo, etc… Il faut y aller, y retourner, écouter les conseils des habitués dans la fille d’attente et succomber. Bravo pour ce travail d’artiste !

Je recommande vivement les pâtisseries le Saint-Honoré et le fraisier sont mes préférés bien que tout soit excellent que ce soit les quiches ou le chocolat. Plusieurs commandes de petits fours réalisées avec succès. La patronne est adorable et un grand bravo au chef😀
